The Role
The Zambia Partnership Manager, on the Global Operations team, is directly responsible for the implementation of the Partners Worldwide strategy in Zambia, facilitating the growth and development of a partnership network in which business creates flourishing economic environments. This includes but is not limited to developing new and existing Local Community Institutions (LCIs) while facilitating partnerships between said local institutions, Business Affiliates (BAs) and PW staff.
The Work
- Support partnership planning – Help partners create and follow annual plans, ensuring clear communication and collaboration.
- Provide coaching and training – Act as the main contact for guidance and support, helping new and existing partners succeed while representing PW’s mission.
- Strengthen relationships with LCIs – Understand their needs through regular visits and hands-on support, helping them grow and achieve their goals.
- Ensure accurate reporting – Assist LCI leaders in tracking progress, meeting donor requirements, and keeping records up to date in PW’s systems.
- Lead PW’s work in Zambia – Set and execute local strategies, manage budgets, and work with partners to grow funding while ensuring compliance with local laws.
- Build strong administrative systems – Develop structures that follow legal requirements and support long-term impact.
- Represent PW locally and regionally – Work with local and global teams to strengthen programs and expand impact.
- Drive fundraising and sustainability – Lead efforts to secure funding and support business training and entrepreneurship programs in Zambia.

Qualifications
- College or graduate education in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, International Development, Agriculture, Agriculture Economics or a related field.
- 5+ years’ overall professional experience with 3+ years’ experience working in business development in the private or non-profit sectors.
- Demonstrated competency in multiple of the following areas: small business development, business mentoring, business training, agriculture and agriculture value chain development, business networks, small business lending and finance, and organizational sustainability.
- Strong project management skills and experience.
- Knowledge of business and community development issues in region of responsibility.
