The Role
The Liberia Partnership Manager, on the Global Operations team, is directly responsible for the implementation of PW’s strategy in Liberia, facilitating the growth and development of a partnership network in which business creates flourishing economic environments. This includes but is not limited to developing new and existing Local Community Institutions while facilitating partnerships between said local institutions, PW business volunteers, and PW staff.
The Work
- Support partnership planning – Help partners create and implement annual plans, fostering clear communication, collaboration, and effective work dynamics.
- Provide coaching and training – Act as the main contact for guidance and support, helping new and existing partners succeed while representing PW’s mission.
- Strengthen partnership relationships – Understand the needs of partners through regular visits and hands-on support, helping them grow and achieve their goals.
- Ensure accurate reporting – Assist partnering leaders in tracking progress, meeting donor requirements, and keeping records up to date in PW’s systems.
- Lead and Expand PW’s work in Liberia – Set and execute local strategies in agreement with PW's global strategy. This implies key actions such as collaborating with both internal and external key partners, managing budgets and proactively seeking revenue growth and potential donor development, while ensuring compliance with local law and identifying needs pertaining to policies and procedures.
- Build strong administrative systems – Develop structures that follow legal requirements and support long-term impact.
- Represent PW locally and regionally – Work with local and global teams to strengthen programs and expand impact.
- Collaborate and participate with the global PW team - Serve on cross-regional teams to grow and improve the organization’s work around the world.
- Provide fundraising leadership – Lead and support fundraising efforts to strengthen sustainability, deepen engagement, and ensure long-term impact in Liberia.
- Adhere to regional standards and codes of excellence – Uphold PW’s values by following regional guidelines, practices, and standards for partnership operations.

Qualifications
- College or graduate education in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Agriculture, International Development or a related field.
- 8+ years’ overall professional experience with 3+ years' experience working in business development in the private or non-profit sectors.
- Demonstrated competency in multiple of the following areas: small business development (training, mentoring, networking), agriculture (value chain development), small business lending and finance, and organizational sustainability.
- Knowledge of business climate, regulations and community development challenges in El Salvador.
- Curiosity to learn new skills, solve new problems and seek expertise from others.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- An entrepreneurial spirit that leads to creative thinking, new ideas to put into action, and innovative solutions to diverse challenges.
