The Role  

As the Research and Data Analytics Specialist your primary role will be to work with the Director of Strategy and Impact to support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of systems to evaluate the effectiveness and impact of PW’s work with partners across the globe.  This position is a great opportunity for a motivated person to learn and grow on the job, with dedicated support planned for this position from seasoned research and data analytics staff, consultants and volunteers.

The Work 

  • Assist in developing and implementing evaluation frameworks and tools. 
  • Collect, manage and analyze quantitative and qualitative data to assess outcomes. 
  • Prepare written and data visualization reports and presentations for stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with PW teams to identify key questions and integrate findings into decision-making processes. 
  • Equip staff and partners to implement and utilize impact assessment tools through training and technical support. 

Your Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in international development, business, marketing, economics, statistics, data analytics or a related field. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Personal motivation and ability to manage projects. 
  • Proficiency in data management, analysis and/or visualization software (e.g. Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau). 
  • Ability to manage confidential and sensitive data with integrity. 
  • Eagerness to learn new concepts, research methods and technologies. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Cross-cultural experience and awareness of global issues. 
  • Willingness to work collaboratively with diverse teams in complex environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two+ years' experience related to impact assessment. 
  • Experience in business and/or international development. 
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research methods.
