The Role
Business Affiliate (BA) is the term that we use to refer to the group that makes up an essential part of our partnership model. They are the volunteers who bring business experience, entrepreneurial expertise, and subject-matter knowledge to walk alongside our network of local community institutions and entrepreneurs around the globe, as they strive to create jobs and grow businesses in their communities.
As the Manager of Business Affiliate Operations your primary role will be to ensure effective onboarding, engagement, and development of volunteer BAs while fostering collaboration between teams to strengthen partnerships and expand volunteer markets.
We are looking for someone with experience in relationship and project management- able to connect with people, provide excellent customer service and collaborate with a diverse team while also managing internal process development, administration and implementation. The Work
Oversee Business Affiliate (BA) Program:
Lead onboarding and orientation calls, manage the online onboarding course, and ensure follow-up processes are executed with excellence.
Foster Collaboration Across Teams:
Equip and support the BA recruitment team in the initial steps of the engagement process in North America and collaborate with our global team to ensure effective integration of BAs into partnerships.
Develop and Strengthen BA Engagement Programs:
Design and implement initiatives to enhance BA involvement and build a supportive BA community, while working with other staff to create tailored resources for diverse volunteer segments.
Manage BA Administrative Processes:
Collaborate on the oversight of administrative staff and resources such as information, data, quarterly surveys, volunteer hour tracking, and other operational systems to ensure smooth program operations.
Expand Volunteer and BA Markets:
Develop strategies to engage new volunteer segments (e.g., women and university students) and create frameworks to better support global volunteers and BAs, while identifying and managing strategic alliances to evolve new volunteer markets.
Support Exploratory and Immersive Initiatives:
Collaborate with other staff to organize exploratory trips and other engagement opportunities for BAs to deepen their involvement and connection to the mission.

- This position is preferably based in Grand Rapids, MI, but other locations where PW operates may be considered.
- This is a full-time position, with essential hours of availability for global coordination from 8am to noon EST.
