The Role 

The Curriculum and Learning Coordinator guides the design, development, delivery, and continuous improvement of learning experiences for Partners Worldwide staff and network members across Africa, Asia, and the Americas. This role manages PW's curriculum for Access to Knowledge, turning organizational knowledge, partnership frameworks, and staff expertise into clear, practical, and dignifying learning experiences delivered through instructor-led, blended, and self-paced formats. 

This role acts as the primary point of contact coordinating curriculum work across contractors, subject matter experts, and PW teams, and executes priorities set by PW's broader learning and development strategy team. The coordinator ensures every course reflects sound adult learning principles, PW's competency framework, and PW's brand and writing standards. It oversees the full curriculum lifecycle, from needs assessment and instructional design through Thinkific-based or LMS deployment, learner analytics, and ongoing refinement, so that learning consistently strengthens the capacity of PW's staff, Business Volunteers, and locally led partner organizations. 

The Work 

Curriculum Project Coordination 

• Lead curriculum projects from concept through launch, managing scope, timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for contractors, subject matter experts, and cross-functional contributors, coordinating introductions and ongoing collaboration across teams.
• Manage project progress, revisions, and change requests. 
• Support the Curricula Strategy team in executing a global curriculum roadmap aligned with organizational priorities. 
• Establish curriculum standards, templates, quality processes, and lifecycle and version controls. 

Instructional Design & Learning Experience 

• Conduct learning needs assessments as needed, in partnership with regional teams. 
• Develop measurable learning objectives using adult learning principles. 
• Coordinate the development of engaging, practical learning journeys and experiences, that drive knowledge acquisition, skill development, behavior change, and performance improvement, leveraging approaches such as e-learning, micro-learning, scenarios, case studies, job aids, experiential learning, and other learning and performance support resources, optimized for global and low-bandwidth contexts. 
• Measure learning effectiveness through engagement, completion, retention, learner feedback, application of skills, and behavioral change. 
• Continuously refine learning pathways to strengthen the connection between learning, behavior change, and practical application. 

Qualifications 

Education 

Bachelor's degree in instructional design, education, organizational development, learning sciences, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred but not required. 

Experience 

• Three or more years of coordinating and designing professional learning programs, with at least three years managing curriculum development projects. 
• Experience with a learning management system, ideally Thinkific or a comparable platform, including SCORM or xAPI packaging. 
• Experience building competency-based curricula and coordinating cross-functional or cross-cultural project teams.
• Experience developing training for a global, distributed audience is a strong plus.

• Communication & Story: Communicates with clarity and purpose, using story and practical framing to make learning content land for diverse, non-specialist audiences.

Additional Information 

Location: Remote — open to candidates across PW's global network. Compensation is benchmarked to the hire's location.
